New Cast and Car Announced
Director Michael Bay has made several new announcements on his blog this week regarding casting and more for Paramount's summer 2011 tent-pole sequel TRANSFORMERS 3.
Bay announced that two of Hollywood's most respected actors have joined the cast for the third instalment in the robot saga. Oscar-winner Frances McDormand (FARGO, NORTH COUNTRY) and Emmy-winner and 2-time Oscar nominee John Malkovich (IN THE LINE OF FIRE, ERAGON) have signed on. McDormand is set to play the US National Intelligence Director, while Malkovich will play the boss of Shia LaBeouf's character (Sam Witwicky). The pair, who recently starred together in the Coen Brothers' BURN AFTER READING, join returning cast members LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson.
The film is set to shoot in Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington DC, Florida, Texas, Africa, Moscow and China. Bay also revealed that a new, yet to be announced, Autobot character in the sequel will transform into the Ferrari 458 Italia (pictured below).
